South of Mason Announces Bold New Direction: Goes Fully “North of Mason”

NASHVILLE, TN — In a shocking and deeply confusing move, country band South of Mason announced today that they are officially rebranding as North of Mason, citing “geographic curiosity” and “a strong desire to see what’s up there.”

Lead singer Jeremie Hudson stated, “We’ve spent years singing about dirt roads, old trucks, and sweet tea. It’s time we explore things like… paved roads, electric cars, and unsweetened beverages.”

The band also revealed their upcoming experimental album, Parkas & Teslas, featuring chart-topping singles like:

  • “My Truck Has Heated Seats Now”
  • “I Miss Biscuits (But These Croissants Are Fine)”
  • “It Truly Is My First Rodeo”

Fans can expect a completely new look as well, with cowboy hats being replaced by knit beanies and boots swapped out for “comfortable yet supportive walking shoes.”

When asked if this was a permanent change, the band responded, “We’ll see how it goes. If it gets too cold, we’re coming right back south.”

Tour dates for the “Unsweetened” tour will be announced soon—assuming the band figures out how to drive in the snow.

Happy April Fools’ Day from South of Mason (still very much south).
